‘Zack Snyder’s Justice League’ Accidentally Leaks on HBO Max – TheWrap

“Zack Snyder’s Justice League” accidentally leaked on HBO Max on Monday, 10 days before the film’s official release on the streaming platform. The R-rated DC Film played in place of the PG-rated family film “Tom and Jerry” due to a glitch that the streamer said was quickly corrected. “Zack Snyder’s Justice League was temporarily available on HBO Max and the error was addressed within minutes,” according to a WarnerMedia spokesperson. A Twitter user said he tried to access “Tom and Jerry” on the HBO Max home screen and instead got the eagerly awaited Snyder cut of the 2017 film “Justice League” — the subject of much speculation since Joss Whedon’s re-shot and re-edited version originally appeared in theaters after Snyder backed out toward the end of production. @hbomax someone’s getting fir...

Microsoft hack: Biden launches emergency taskforce to address cyber-attack – The Guardian

The Biden administration is launching an emergency taskforce to address an aggressive cyber-attack that has affected hundreds of thousands of Microsoft customers around the world – the second major hacking campaign to hit the US since the election. The attack, first reported by security researcher Brian Krebs on 5 March, allowed hackers to access the email accounts of at least 30,000 organizations in the US. These back channels for remote access can affect credit unions, town governments and small business, and have left US officials scrambling to reach victims, with the FBI on Sunday urging them to contact the law enforcement agency. The “unusually aggressive” attack infiltrated accounts using tools that give the attackers “total, remote control over affected systems”, cybersecurity exper...

Whitmer wants to begin ‘reengagement’ of office workers in coming weeks – The Detroit News

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer on Monday said she hopes to begin bringing workers back into office spaces in the coming weeks, potentially ahead of the April 14 expiration of an emergency rule that banned in-office work where it was feasible to do the work from home.  Whitmer told WJR’s Paul W. Smith that she’d like to start reengaging those Michigan workers and businesses before mid-April.  She described the return-to-office plan as “incremental” and said she was working with business leaders, the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services on a strategy to make it possible.  “It is my hope, if our positivity numbers stay low where they are and our vaccination rates are high where they are, that we will be able to do that in the c...

This image shows the head and body of an Elysia cf. marginata sea slug one day after separation. Sayaka Mitoh Most animals can’t lose their bodies and still survive. Two species of sacoglossan sea slugs aren’t most animals. A team of researchers observed sea slugs that severed their own heads and then regrew their bodies complete with hearts and other internal organs. The action of shedding a body part is called autotomy. It’s what lizards do when they lose a tail for self-preservation. Dropping an entire body is much more dramatic than losing a tail. “We thought that it would die soon without a heart and other important organs, but we were surprised again to find that it regenerated the whole body,” Sayaka Mitoh of Nara Women’s University in Japan said ...
